Washington D.C. – Journalist and longtime editor of OurFuture.org, Isaiah J. Poole, has been named communications director for People’s Action, a national organization with nearly a million members.

Poole will oversee all communications and public relations for the organization, building visibility and awareness of the work on economic, racial, gender and climate justice.

“As a journalist, Isaiah fearlessly challenged the greedy and powerful, holding them accountable for decisions and actions that affect the lives of everyday people. As communications director for People’s Action, we expect him to take this track record to a new level,” said George Goehl, co-executive director of People’s Action.

Poole worked in mainstream media for more than 25 years, including at Congressional Quarterly, where he reported on leadership and tracked major legislation. He’s covered everything from presidential politics to pop culture, with a particular fondness for taking on Wall Street and right-wing politics.
